Multicast and ABR on the same box

Play One receives multicast IPTV on managed networks and adaptive bitrate streams over the open internet. Linear channels can stay on multicast where your network supports it, with catch-up, restart, recordings and on-demand delivered as ABR, all under one subscriber account and one EPG.

Migrate without a hard cut-over

Most operators are not starting from nothing. They have boxes from 2014 to 2018 in the field, a vendor contract coming up for renewal, and subscribers who expect nothing to change. TV2Z bridges the gap for legacy devices going back as far as 2014: the platform serves your existing boxes and Play One side by side, so you swap the base over time instead of in one weekend.

Is Play One a Google-certified Android TV device?

Yes. Play One is certified under Google's Android TV Operator Tier programme, which gives you the Google Play Store and Google services alongside your own launcher. It is also Netflix and Prime Video certified.

Can we keep our current set-top boxes while we introduce Play One?

Yes. TV2Z serves your legacy devices, including boxes dating back to 2014, and Play One from the same platform during the migration, so a mixed base is the normal state until the swap is complete.

Does Play One work on a multicast IPTV network?

Yes. Play One supports multicast for linear channels on managed networks and adaptive bitrate for everything else, including delivery over the open internet.

Can the box carry our brand?

Yes. The launcher is white-label and fully configurable. Box, remote control and packaging can be produced in your brand; minimum order quantities apply.

How do we buy it?

Outright, or financed over your TVaaS contract term. Contact us and we include Play One in a proposal for your subscriber numbers.
